What is pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun and fast-paced sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s played with paddles and a perforated plastic ball on a smaller court — making it ideal for players of all ages and fitness levels.

Do I need to be fit to play pickleball?

Not at all! Pickleball is low-impact and easy to learn, so it’s perfect for beginners, families, or anyone looking for an enjoyable way to stay active.

Where can I play pickleball in South Africa?

Pickleball is growing rapidly across the country! You can play at clubs, schools, and community courts nationwide. Visit our Where to Play page to find a court near you.

Ordering & Payments

How can I pay for my order?

We use Payfast, South Africa’s leading secure online payment platform. You can safely pay using:

  • Credit or debit cards
  • Instant EFT
  • SnapScan
  • Masterpass
  • Apple Pay
  • Samsung Pay

All transactions are encrypted and 100% secure.

Can I use more than one payment method?

Currently, each order can only be processed with one payment method at a time. However, you can apply a gift card and then pay any remaining balance via Payfast.

Will I receive a receipt for my order?

Yes — as soon as your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with your order confirmation and invoice.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes! We offer free delivery on all orders over R1500 anywhere in South Africa.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are typically delivered within 2-5 working days in major cities and 4–7 working days in outlying areas. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order has been dispatched.

Can I collect my order?

Currently, Pickleball Zone SA operates as an online store only — all orders are delivered directly to your door.

Gift Cards

How do Pickleball Zone gift cards work?

Our digital gift cards are quick and convenient. Choose your amount, check out securely through Payfast, and receive your gift card by email instantly.

Can I use a gift card more than once?

Yes! If your purchase total is less than your gift card balance, the remaining amount stays available for your next order.

Do gift cards expire?

No — Pickleball Zone SA gift cards never expire.

What’s the difference between pickleball paddles?

We stock a range of paddles for all playing styles and skill levels. The main differences include:

How do I choose the right paddle for my skill level?

If you’re new to pickleball, start with a lightweight composite paddle for better control and comfort. Intermediate and advanced players often prefer graphite paddles for added power and precision. What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date you receive your order. Items must be unused, in original packaging, with tags, and include proof of purchase.

To start a return, please contact us at sanjay.bhana@pickleballzonesa.co.za.

Once approved, we’ll provide a return shipping label and instructions.

Do you offer exchanges?

Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer product exchanges. If you ordered the wrong size or item, you can return it within 30 days for a refund and then place a new order for the correct product. This ensures fast, accurate processing and helps us keep stock up to date.
